*Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck—unsure what to do next?* If you're struggling to find peace and clarity in this season of life, you're not alone. Many people in quietly carry the weight of anxiety, wrestling with decisions, relationships, or just the stress of everyday life. And as a person of faith, you might also be wondering: *“How do I trust God when
everything feels so heavy?”*
At *Karis Health & Wellness*, we offer Christian counseling in Maple Grove, MN to help people just like you find peace—not only emotionally, but spiritually.
Scripture speaks directly to those who feel burdened and anxious:
*“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28*
God never intended for us to carry life’s struggles alone. Christian counseling provides a space to explore your thoughts and emotions while also aligning your heart with Biblical truth and God’s promises.
Christian counseling combines clinical therapy with faith-based principles.
It:
At Karis Health & Wellness, our counselors respect where you are >spiritually and meet you with compassion—not pressure.
1. *Pause and Breathe in God’s Presence*
Take 3 deep breaths. As you inhale, silently say: *“Be still and know…”*
As you exhale: *“…that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)*
2. *Name the Worry Out Loud or in Prayer*
Anxiety often grows in silence. Write it down or speak it to God:
*“Lord, I don’t know what to do about [situation]. Show me the next step.”*
3. *Renew Your Mind With Scripture*
Replace spiraling thoughts with truth. Meditate on one of these verses daily:
*“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7*
*“Do not be anxious about anything… but present your requests to God.” — Philippians 4:6-7*
*“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil.” — Psalm 23:4*
4.* Talk to a Faith-Based Therapist*
Sometimes the bravest step is reaching out. A Christian therapist can help you unpack emotional wounds, build coping tools, and bring your faith into the healing process.
In therapy, *cognitive reframing* is a technique where we challenge anxious or distorted thoughts and replace them with more balanced, truthful ones. As a Christian, you can take this a step deeper by *reframing your thoughts with God’s Word*.
How it works:
1. *Notice the anxious thought*
“I’m not strong enough to handle this.”
2. *Challenge it with truth*
*Is this 100% true? What does God say about this?*
3. *Replace it with Scripture*
“But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” — 2 Corinthians 12:9
➤ Reframed: *“I may feel weak, but God’s strength is working in me.”*
Speak these out loud or write them down when anxiety rises:
“God is with me, even in this.”
“I don’t need to have all the answers. I trust God’s timing.”
“His grace is enough for me today.”
“I can rest in God, not strive in fear.”
“Peace is not found in control, but in surrender.”
“The Lord is my refuge and strength—I am safe in Him.”
“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”
“My anxious thoughts are not stronger than God’s truth.”
“Jesus calms the storm inside of me.”
“I may feel overwhelmed, but I am not alone.”
“Even in silence, God is working on my behalf.”
“God’s love casts out fear—I am covered and cared for.”
“I was not created to carry this alone.”
“I take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.”
“In the middle of chaos, God is still God.”
“I walk by faith, not by fear.”
“The Lord goes before me—He already knows what I need.”
“I release control and receive peace.”
